MARDI GRAS CELEBRATED WITH MASK MAKING

The North Water Street Gallery recently celebrated Mardi Gras by holding a Mardi Gras mask-making workshop with instructor and local artist Vince Packard. Above, Packard gives Rachel Anderson, 11, some tips on the mask she works on. Participants attended three two-hour classes and constructed the masks using plaster gauze, paint, tin foil and other materials.
