The Kiwanis Young Childrens Council of Portage County is presenting Family Expo 2003. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5, at the Maplewood Career Center on S.R. 88 in Ravenna.
Free coffee, doughnuts and lunch will be provided for all participants. There will be free child care available, but limited to 75 children, ages 2 to 10.
Pre-registration for child care is required. The children will enjoy fun-filled activities during the day and be given snacks and lunch.
Family Expo 2003 will open with a puppet show presented by Madcap Productions Puppet Theatre entitled, The Enchanted World. During the day, an exhibit area will showcase dozens of service agencies, commercial retailers and door prizes. The adult participants may choose from 11 workshops and enjoy a keynote address by Sue McCleaf Nespela, speaking on Raising Literate Children Begins at Birth.
Participation in Family Expo 2003 is free but pre-registration by March 26 is requested. Transportation will be provided, if necessary.
