Womans Club meets leashed love

Mary Rak Published:

The Womans Club of Kent met recently at the Patton House in Kent. Trudy Crawford introduced the guest speaker, Debbie Wilcox, director of Volunteer Services at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.

The topic was Love On a Leash, a program where dogs and trainers visit with the patients in the hospital. With Wilcox, sharing the sometimes funny, sometimes emotional experiences of their hospital visits, were trainers with their dogs.

A memorial service was held for newly deceased members, Louise Clark, Eleanor Sink, Dorothy Bowen and Peg Glanzer.

A short meeting followed, led by president Goldie Sites. It was announced during the business portion of the meeting that the groups North East District Legislation Day will be held Tuesday in Louisville.

The club next meets at 1:30 p.m. April 7 at the Patton House.
