ATWATER Mirocke retires from National Guard

Senior Master Sgt. Joseph A. Mirocke Jr. has retired from the Air National Guard, a reserve component of the U.S. Air Force, after 22 years of military service.

Prior to retiring, Mirocke served as an education and training supervisor for the 121st Air Refueling Wing in Columbus. Throughout his career, Mirocke also served in South Korea, the Philippines, the Netherlands, and Germany.

He is the son of Joseph and Dolores Mirocke of Canton.

His wife, Carol, is the daughter of Carrol and Aileen Casteel of Atwater.

The senior master sergeant is a 1974 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville.
