Gwendolyn Blackshear, a member of the Union Baptist Church in Kent, was one of several people who took part in a World Prayer Day event held recently at the church to recognize Lebanon, particularly the problems faced there by women of socially and economically deprived classes. The worship service was prepared by women of Lebanon who represent three Christian families, the Evangelical, Catholic and Orthodox.
