Portage County Retired Teachers Association will be offering $300 scholarships to outstanding senior graduates from Portage County high schools at the end of this school year.
Students planning a career in education should submit a resume-type application containing grade point average, Scholastic Aptitude Test and American College Test scores, participation in school activities, extracurricular activities, recommendations from a teacher and leader of a group, business or a friend and a paragraph of their plans following graduation from college. These submissions should be given to the school guidance counselor or principal. Deadlline for applications is April 28.
