The Rootstown Victorian House Tour was recently held

Mary Rak Published:

The Rootstown Victorian House Tour was recently held by the Rootstown Historic Preservation Committee at the Lowden House. Showing the detail in the doors and hinges of the old home to Julia Euclide, one of the 105 people who viewed the Victorian home, is committee member Tom Hooks. The house, now owned by Rootstown Township, is an Eastlake style Victorian home built in 1881 by Hettie Hudson. Her husband, Herbert, was a prosperous business man, founder and owner of the Rootstown Creamery and Cheese Factory. Apropos to the original owners business, refreshments, including cheese and crackers, were served.
