Ed and Michelle Ratchford of Streetsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Ratchford, to Nathanael Gurnish of Akron, son of John and Beckie Gurnish of Mogadore. The bride-elect is a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in Cuyahoga Falls and attended Kent State University. She is employed at Cole Managed Vision in Twinsburg. Her fianc also is a graduate of CVCA and is attending the University of Akron. He is self-employed. An Aug. 9 ceremony at the Uniontown Community Center will unite the couple in marriage.
