KSU Dance group to perform Nein Young this weekend

Kent State Universitys School of Theatre and Dance will present the Kent Dance Ensembles 2003 main stage concert Nein Young Friday through Sunday at the E. Turner Stump Theatre of the Music & Speech Center on the KSU campus.

Nine dancers representing the bachelor of fine arts programs in dance performance and dance education make up the 2002-03 pre-professional student company.

Nein Young will feature works by Darwin Prioleau, former faculty member Tommy Parlon, artist-in-residence Chung-Fu Chang and guest choreographers Wayne Smith and Sabatino Verlezza.

The performances will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, KSU alumni, faculty or staff, $7 for students with any valid school I.D. or children younger than 18. Groups of 10 or more can receive discounted tickets by calling (330) 672-2497.

Box office hours are from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, 3 to 7 p.m. Saturdays during the run of the show and one hour before performance times.
