AKRON Annual food, wine tasting is April 24

The Akron General Development Foundation and Fairfield Financial Group of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network will host the third annual Grape Escape, an evening of wine and food tasting, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. April 24 at the Portage Country Club in Akron. The event is a fund-raiser to benefit the McDowell Radiation Oncology Department of Akron General Medical Centers Cancer Center. The evening will include a grand prize raffle drawing for a five-day, four-night trip for two to the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma, Calif.
