RAVENNA Surprise party honors Blanche Peacock, 90

More than 100 friends and family members were in attendance for the surprise celebration honoring the 90th birthday of Blanche Peacock of Ravenna. Held at the Masonic Temple in Ravenna, the event was hosted by Mrs. Peacocks daughters, Donna Joan and Dan Murphy of Burgettstown, Pa., and Roberta Ann and Richard Moore of Mesa, Ariz., and their families. Guests came from as far away as Mansfield, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Mrs. Peacock was born April 12, 1913 to Frank and Minnie Wymer of New Baltimore. A resident of Ravenna for 80 years, she attended Ravenna High School and married Robert Peacock on Sept. 5, 1933. Mr. Peacock died Sept. 1, 1996. Mrs. Peacock was employed by Trexler Rubber Co., in Ravenna, and by AAA automobile club. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Coterie and Young at Heart and enjoys baking, knitting, working outside and spending time with her seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
