Maplewood Career Center's annual Christmas in the Woods craft show will be held Friday and Saturday at the school, 7075 S.R. 88 in Ravenna.

Show hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 5:30 p.m. on Friday to officially open the show.

The event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free.

According to craft show coordinator Anita Kelley, this year's Christmas in the Woods features more vendors than ever, which means many new products and handmade crafts for shoppers to consider.

"We've rearranged the layout of the show to improve traffic flow and make it easier for shoppers to see everything and to have access to their favorite vendors. We are also offering more opportunities for shoppers to win prizes and to be entertained," Kelley said, adding that Christmas in the Woods has become a premier craft show and, because it is one of the first of the holiday season, vendors display their best selection.

In addition to handmade crafts and seasonal gifts, shoppers and children can visit with Santa and enjoy treats and a full lunch menu, as well as take-home bakery items and candies.
