Larry and Cecilia (Wilson) Woodling of Ravenna celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year.
The two were joined in marriage on Sept. 22, 1962, by Judge Campbell in Ravenna.
Their children are Lisa (Woodling) Hurd of Charlestown Township, Jason Woodling of Niceville, Fla., and the late Brian Woodling. The Woodlings have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Larry was a door-to-door milkman for three years, spent 18 years working at Container Corp. in Ravenna, and was at Schneller Inc. in Kent for 16 years before retiring in 2004.
Cecilia, who is called "Aunt Cec," is known as Portage County's No. 1 baby-sitter.
The Woodlings attend Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
A party in their honor was held in October at the Charlestown Town Hall, with more than 50 family members and friends in attendance. The event was hosted by Mike and Lisa Hurd and family and Jason Woodling. Special guests included their family, members of their church congregation, and especially their soon-to-be great-granddaughter, who is due in December.
