Shopping's Golden Age will be topic

A special program on "The Golden Age of Shopping In Cleveland" will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St. The program is presented by the Western Reserve Historical Society. Those attending will hear stories and see historic photographs about holiday shopping in favorite downtown Cleveland department stores, such as Halle Brothers, May Co., Higbee's, and Sterling Linder with its famous Christmas tree.
