Western Reserve supports 4-H clubs

Laura Nethken Published:

The Western Reserve Country Store in Ravenna recently recognized 4-H advisers from Portage, Summit and Trumbull counties for their contribution in teaching and mentoring kids in the 4-H program.

Western Reserve Farm Cooperative rewards the clubs with a check paid back to them yearly, which is based on sales to the members.

The goal of the 4-H Rewards Program is to promote and enhance the future of agriculture by supporting local clubs so they can educate and train youth on how to properly feed and care for animals.

The total donated to more than 100 clubs throughout Northeastern Ohio this year was $14,000.

Any clubs not participating currently in this program should sign up by calling 330-296-3424.
