Headline: Maplewood holds annual All Boards Dinner
Story: Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna recently hosted the annual All Boards Dinner, featuring a dinner prepared and served by Maplewood’s Culinary Arts students.
The event provides an opportunity each year for all area school board members and school administrators to gather and share in common educational interests.
The featured speaker was State Rep. Kathleen Clyde, a graduate of James A. Garfield High School. She expressed her gratitude for the teachers and administrators who helped her achieve her goals.
Clyde identified several people in attendance as influential mentors during her high school years. She also lauded area public school board members for the jobs they do.
Maplewood Career Center serves 10 school districts in Portage County and Mogadore by providing a wide selection of career and technical programs for junior and senior students who choose to attend classes at the center.
