Walkers will head for park in Munroe Falls

The Portage Trail Walkers will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday to hike in the Munroe Falls Metro Park. The Indian Spring Trail is a rolling trail with gradual slopes throughout and a downhill at the end. It is 2.2 miles long.

Those wishing to participate can take S.R. 59 west from Kent to Stow. Turn left (south) on S.R. 91 in Stow and go one mile, down the hill, through the light, and across the Cuyahoga River and the railroad tracks. Go through the light, up the hill, and turn left (east) onto South River Road. Go one mile and turn right at the sign for the park. Go past the gate and stay right one-half mile to the parking lot on the right. The trail starts at the end of the parking lot.
