The Rootstown 50-Plus Club invites area seniors aged 50 and older to start their Christmas season with lunch at noon followed by "Christmas Fun" on Thursday at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ hall.
For this last gathering of the year, hostesses will be the outgoing officers: Babe Parks, president; Alice Rothermel, vice president; Sandra Nickles, secretary; Mary Lallathin, treasurer; and Audrey S. Smith, Sunshine. Members are asked to bring non-perishable grocery items which will be taken to area food cupboards.
There will be no meeting in January. The first meeting of the new year will be Feb. 7 at the church. The membership and program books will be distributed at this meeting. To submit suggestions or a wish-list for area senior programs, call Alice Rothermel at 330-325-0622.
