Martha Angebrandt of Suffield celebrated her 80th birthday recently.
She was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Rootstown to Alfred and Hazel Ulm. She has lived in Portage County for 80 years and attended Rootstown High School.
Martha married Arnold Angebrandt on Oct. 26, 1952. Their children are Rebecca (and Eric) Hilston of Streetsboro and Katherine Reedy of Glen Ellyn, Ill. They have one grandchild.
A celebration was held at T.J.'s Amber Restaurant in Lakemore Plaza in Ellet, hosted by her daughters, with about 25 family members attending.
Martha enjoys cooking, baking and gardening and is said to make "the best homemade pies."
