A benefit will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Ravenna Elks Club, 776 N. Freedom St., to help Donna Walczak, longtime resident of Portage County.
Walczak found out in August that she had skin cancer, which quickly spread throughout her body and into her brain. It is now stage 4 cancer, and she has no insurance.
She is going through treatment, and her resources are very limited. The aim of the fundraiser is to ease the costs and strain on her family.
The fundraiser will feature food from Siciliano's and drinks from McDonald's.
There will be a 50/50 raffle, gift baskets, side boards, activities for children and more. The event is open to the public.
