5th-graders honor 'Famous Americans'

Published:

Fifth-grade students at Suffield Elementary School recently lined the gymnasium wearing wigs, fake moustaches, beards and astronaut helmets to celebrate the school's "Famous Americans" theme.

Fifth-grade students were asked to choose a famous American or Ohioan, create a written report that included important facts and accomplishments about that person, and then participate in an activity called the Wax Museum.

During this activity, fifth-graders dressed in costumes and performed short speeches that informed other Suffield students and parents about the life of the person they researched.
