Laura Yount earns top Lions honors

Published:

Lions District 13D Vice District Gov. Tom Zickefoose presented the Melvin E. Jones Fellowship award to Lion Laura Yount at the November meeting of the Randolph Lions Club. Yount is the coordinator of the Leos Club, a branch of the Lions Club for teenage students. They carry out many service projects in the community, and learn about the work of the Lions Club. The Melvin Jones Fellowship honors Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Clubs International. It is the highest form of recognition conferred by the Foundation. It is largely due to the growth of the Fellowship program that LCIF has been able to meet humanitarian needs in communities world-wide. Yount's name will be added to the listing of all individuals in the program, and these names are electronically shown in continuous rotation in the LCIF Recognition Room at the International Headquarters in Chicago.
