Roosevelt Alumni Association elects new officers

The Theodore Roosevelt High School Alumni Association met recently at the Pufferbelly Restaurant in Kent.

The group held the election of officers for the 2012-13 school year. Elected were Jim Hawkins, '61, and Judy Messersmith Kunka, '61, co-presidents; Sherry Bentley Joy, '67, vice president; Linda Wingard, '68, corresponding secretary; Renee Kline Shipp, '02, membership secretary; Paul Sellman, '67, treasurer; and Debbie Krutz, '75, liaison to the Kent schools.

The association was recognized as the collaborative organization of the month of October at the September Kent Board of Education meeting.

The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Pufferbelly. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m.

The executive board also will meet at 6 p.m.
