ACEs entertain Gardeners at holiday party

Published:

Members of the Portage County Gardeners recently held their annual holiday party at the United Methodist Church of Kent. Enjoying the event are, from left, Polly Tucker and Jane Auld of the Evening Herb Guild and Judy Woudenberg and Liz Davey of the Elm Garden Club. The tables and hall, decorated by Helena Parry, Lee Hall, Becky Kuchenbecker and Germaine Williams, had a garden angel theme. Guests enjoyed piano music before lunch provided by member Carol Taylor. After the luncheon, the Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent ACEs, an elite choral ensemble, performed under the direction of Corey Fowler. The gardeners each received a variety package of bulbs to take home. Several clubs are accepting new members for next year. Call Helena Parry at 330-673-0577 for more information.
