The engagement of Kristina Block, the daughter of Kenneth and Kimberly Block of Mantua, to Alan Vanderink, the son of Steven and Dana Vanderink of Hiram, is announced.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Crestwood High School and a 2012 graduate of Kent State University. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and is employed with Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
Her fiancé is a 2007 graduate of Crestwood High School and earned a bachelor's degree in health education at KSU in 2012. He is employed with Berkshire High School in Burton.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on July 6 at Friendship Alliance Church in Chagrin Falls.
