'Evening in Barcelona' fulfills auction bid

The sounds and tastes of Barcelona recently welcomed guests at the Lake Royale home of Patty and Jay Falls in Kent.

The couple donated an "Evening in Barcelona" themed party to the silent auction at Coleman Foundation's 24th annual Right at Home benefit held in September.

Barb and Larry Oswick of Aurora and Jan and John Ryan of Kent had the winning bid.

Incorporating recipes, photos and stories from their recent trip to Barcelona, the Falls' entertained their guests in a café-type setting of small tables with flowers, candlelight and Spanish guitar music.

A variety of small plate offerings (tapas) were prepared and served by the hosts along with carefully selected Spanish wines.

Enjoying the food and fun with the Oswicks and Ryans were their guests, Jan and Tom Hatch, Janet and David Dix, Judy and Bob Tuttle and Suzanne and Nelson Burns.
