Blossom Women's Committee hosts annual luncheon

Published:

Blossom Women's Committee members began the fall/winter season with a luncheon at Barrington Golf Club in Aurora.

Following the luncheon, Claire Frattare, state chair, introduced Donna Lee, associate professor and coordinator of the Piano Division at Kent State University.

In the summer, Lee is co-director of the Piano Institute at KSU and artist-faculty at Kent/Blossom Chamber Music in Ohio. Lee performed several selections on the piano.

Blossom Women's Committee is dedicated to promoting and financially supporting Blossom Music Center and The Cleveland Orchestra.

There are local chapters in Akron, Aurora, Hudson, Kent and Northeastern Ohio.

Several members from the local chapters attended the Lunch and Cabaret featuring the music of Cole Porter presented by the Northeast Blossom Women's Committee at the Kirtland Country Club.

This is the third year since the Northeast Chapter was established, and the second year for their annual fundraising event.

At this event, the cabaret featured artists Bill Rudman, Nancy Maier (piano), and Laura Lindauer (vocalist).
