The Portage Trail Walkers will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday for a hike near Sunny Lake and the Audubon Sanctuary. The flat asphalt trail loop near Sunny Lake is one mile long. The Audubon Sanctuary Trail is a dirt trail with short hills, three or four miles long. It is not maintained and will become very muddy when wet.
Those wishing to participate can take S.R. 43 north from Streetsboro. Go past the corporations and turn right (east) on Mennonite Road at the church. Go 1.2 miles (past Page Road) to the signs for Sunny Lake. Park on the left after the entrance.
