Zeng Quartet performs free concert at Kent Free Library

The Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St., will continue its free Sunday Music Matinee series with a concert by The Zeng Quartet at 2 p.m. Jan. 27.

The quartet, made up of Pedro Martinez, piano; Yang Zeng, violin; HaoJian Wang, viola; and Jose Herrera, cello; resides at Kent State University, under the tutelage of the Miami String Quartet.

The quartet, which has been together for a year, has performed in numerous festivals and orchestras in China, Mexico and the United States. They will be performing Beethoven's Piano Quartet in E flat major, Op.16; Mahler's Piano Quartet in A minor; and Danzón No. 2 by Arturo Márquez.

No registration is required for this performance and all ages may attend.
