Eastern Star officers for 2013 installed

The Ravenna Chapter No. 46 of the Order of the Eastern Star held its 118th annual installation of officers recently.

Faith Lyon was installed as Worthy Matron, and Robert Palmer was installed as Worthy Patron.

The other officers for 2013 are Mary Boston, Hoyt Boston, Iris Palmer, Kathy Tinker, Holly Lyon, Debbie Wolff, Toni Ervin, John Green, Rory Wolff, Janet Doolittle, Margie Reece, Carlene Patterson, Lori Foldessy, Christina Robinson, George Sanford and Bret Hoover. Linda Hoover and Margaret Sanford will serve as protems and prompters this year.

The night began with an emblem ceremony. Emblems were presented by Richard Campbell and Susan Schenck, Crescent Chapter; Dorothy Ann Duplaga and Dolores McConnaughey, Falls Chapter; Fran McGonigal, Anna Dean Chapter; and Susan Gillam, Miriam Chapter.

The 2012 officers then opened the chapter for the purpose of installing the 2013 officers. Sandra Edmisten, Past Grand Matron of the state of Ohio, was the installing officer. Assisting her were Nancy Hansford, Olive Chapter; Sally Sampson, Palmy Chapter; Paul McConnaughey, Falls Chapter; and Richard Campbell and Bonnie Louk, Crescent Chapter.

After the ceremony, all members and visitors enjoyed fellowship and a buffet in the dining room.
