Brandon Pesicek is 'Distinguished Graduate'

Brandon Jacob Pesicek of Ravenna has earned a bachelor's degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

He graduated with a grade point average of 3.597.

Pesicek was the valedictorian of his 2008 graduating class at Ravenna High School. He attended Case by earning a scholarship.

While at Case, he also was a member of the Air Force ROTC at Kent State University.

He received a commission as a second lieutenant on Jan. 4 and earned recognition as a Distinguished Graduate, a national award given to the top 10 percent of AFROTC cadet graduates.

Pesicek will be stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he will begin pilot training.

He is the eldest son of James E. Pesicek Jr. of Ravenna and Kelly Pesicek of Ravenna. His maternal grandparents are Susan Kindlesparker of Mantua and the late Jacob Kindlesparker. Paternal grandparents are Dr. James E. Pesicek of Garrettsville and Norma Pesicek of Ravenna.
