The Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet Festival will be held March 15, 16 and 17 at Four Points Sheraton, North, in Mars, Pa., and features classes, exhibits, demonstrations in knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, basketry and more.
A highlight of the festival this year is the Knit the Bridge Lounge supporting the efforts of Knit the Bridge, Pittsburgh. For more information: www.knitthebridge.wordpress.com.
This year's free class is Woven Prayer Flag, along withfree "Teach Me 2 Knit" and "Teach Me 2 Crochet" classes. Charity knitting, fashion shows, giveaways, demos, a marketplace and exhibits are among the yearly offerings.
There is an admission fee for all festival attendees.

On Sunday afternoon from noon to 4 p.m., seniors over 65 may attend for $5, made possible by UPMC Senior Communities.
