Hensley-Wulzen wedding

Brittany Rae Hensley and James Daniel Wulzen were united in marriage by the Rev. William Wisniewski in a Nov. 3 wedding ceremony held at Underwood Hall in Kent.

The bride is the daughter of Marion Hensley of Ravenna and the late Kemper Hensley. The groom is the son of James R. Wulzen of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kimberly Wulzen of Bullhead City, Ariz.

The bride was escorted by her son, Justin Hensley. Wedding colors were gray and plum.

The bridal gown was an elegant ivory strapless fit and flare gown adorned with ornate lace and with a chapel train. The side split featured a tulle insert. The lace-up back was trimmed with exquisite beading. Large sunflowers made up the bridal bouquet, surrounded by deep purple dahlias and peonies.

Bethany Kainrad of Ravenna served as her sister's matron of honor. Genevieve Wulzen of Ravenna, daughter of the groom, was the junior maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Patricia Brooks of Ravenna, Brianne Norcini of Chardon, and Terah Omaits of Ravenna.

Geoffrey Bellamy of Las Vegas, Nev., was the best man. Justin Hensley of Ravenna, son of the bride, was the junior best man. Groomsmen were Mike Mendez of Kings Beach, Calif.; Justin Yost of Boardman; and Brian Hensley of Cleveland, brother of the bride. Brandon Hensley of Ravenna, brother of the bride, served as the usher.

A reception was held following the ceremony in Underwood Hall.

Special guests included Martin and Mary Ann Croyle of Streetsboro, grandparents of the bride; Roxanna Jerue of Bullhead City, Ariz., stepmother of the groom; Tarlene Wulzen of Las Vegas, aunt of the groom; and Betty Miller and family of Parma, great-aunt of the bride.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Ravenna High School, and she attended Kent State University. She is employed with Akron Community Health Resources Inc.

The groom graduated in 1998 from Ed W. Clark High School in Las Vegas and in 2004 from the Trumbull County Career and Technical Center. He is employed at the Sears Auto Center in Cuyahoga Falls.

The Wulzens traveled to Fajardo, Puerto Rico, for their wedding trip.

They are now at home in Ravenna.
