The engagement of Dr. Melissa Paskey, the daughter of Ron and Dee Paskey of Kent, to Corey Verchio, the son of Janet Verchio of Cuyahoga Falls and David Williams of Alliance, is announced.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent and a 2007 pre-medicine graduate of Kent State University. She received her medical doctorate in 2011 from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown and is now working to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Her fiancé is a 2005 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and a 2009 graduate of Kent State University. He is the owner and operator of Custom Shirts and Sportswear in Kent and is the director of volleyball for Ohio Xtreme Athletics. He serves as the head coach of the varsity girls volleyball team at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron.
The two plan to be married in June at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kent.
