Emmet K. Wilthew completes Air Force basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Emmet K. Wilthew graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Wilthew is the son of Mark and Tammerah Wilthew of Garrettsville. He attended Maplewood Career Center in Ravenna and graduated from high school in 2012.
