Donations given to Head Start children

Published:

Portage Learning Centers Head Start children and their families received a donation of gifts for the holiday season. Anne Face and the Human Resources staff at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna helped to organize a gift collection from Robinson staff and Health Affiliates to benefit the children who participate in programs provided by Portage Learning Centers.

An entire bus was loaded with toys and goodies to help 150 children and families from the Head Start programs this year. The staff of Portage Learning Centers said they were grateful to all who contributed, especially the human resources staff who help to coordinate this each year.

For information about donating to the Head Start program of Portage County, contact Valerie Fiala, outreach coordinator, at 330-297-7795.
