By Mary Louise Ruehr Published:

The Rotary Club of Mantua will present "Hunting for Bigfoot in Ohio" at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Hilltop Christian Church, 4572 Prospect St., Mantua.

Marc DeWerth, longtime Bigfoot investigator, will discuss his 20 years of experience with groups such as Eastern Ohio Bigfoot Investigation Center, the Bigfoot Researchers Organization and the Ohio Bigfoot Organization, who actively participate in efforts to locate and record the existence of Bigfoot creatures in Ohio.

In 2012, there were reports of sightings in Portage and neighboring counties.

Tickets at $5 each can be purchased at Jake's Restaurant in Garrettsville or Advanced Rehabilitation and Health Specialists in Mantua or by contacting Helen Hazlett at 440-725-3866 or hhazlett@juno.com.

They will also be available at the event, but seating is limited and advanced ticket holders will get preference.

This is a Rotary fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward the Student Exchange program at Crestwood High School.

The current student from Brazil, Rebecca Rosa, will be in attendance.
