The engagement of Stefani Shaffer of Hudson, the daughter of Sheri Shaffer of Cuyahoga Falls and Steve Shaffer of Eugene, Ore., to Nick Demas of Chelmsford, Mass., the son of Elizabeth James of Chelmsford and Alex Demas of Tyngsboro, Mass., is announced.
The bride-elect graduated from Hudson High School in 1999 and from Miami University in 2003, earning a bachelor's degree in social work. In 2009, she earned a master's degree in counseling psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. She is the owner of Stef Shaffer Counseling in Seattle, Wash.
Her fiancé graduated from Chelmsford High School in 2000. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2004. He is employed with Marchex in Seattle.
The two plan to be married on Oct. 5 at Kitsap Memorial Park State Park in Poulsbo, Wash.
