Ravenna Rotary to host open house

Ravenna Rotary invites local business and community leaders to an informational open house at noon Monday at the Ravenna Elks Club, 776 N. Freedom St., Ravenna.

Lunch is complimentary for guests.

Ravenna Rotarians will give an overview of the club's mission, activities and goals.

The guest speaker will be 2011-12 District No. 6630 Gov. Stephen Zabor of Hiram, who will explain Rotary's international reach and initiatives.

Staying true to the Rotary International motto of "Service Above Self," Ravenna Rotary raises funds to strengthen the community through scholarships to deserving students, support of local projects and gifts to nonprofit organizations.

Rotary also serves as a networking organization between community leaders.

Ravenna Rotary meetings are held each Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ravenna Elks Club.
