The Zeta Omicron Chapter of Delta Omicron recently met at the home of Dr. Denise Seachrist in Rootstown.

The program featured music by American composers, performed by members of the group. They began the program by singing songs by Irving Berlin and George M. Cohan with Penny Graves at the piano.

The rest of the program was as follows: "In a Landscape" by John Cage, performed by Patty Wiley, piano; "Brother Will, Brother John" by John Sacco, performed by Sara Burky, mezzo soprano; "Lotus Land" by Cyril Scott, performed by Louellen Robinson, piano; "Reflections" by Katherine Hoover, performed by Michelle Worthing, flute; "The Eagle" by Edward MacDowell, performed by Cookie Bailey, piano; "We the People" by Sharon Alberson.

Alberson is a member of the chapter. She recently composed this and group members had the opportunity to sing it with her.

The next meeting will be on March 16 at the United Methodist Church of Kent, 1435 W. Main St., and will be a program performed by piano students of Patty Wiley and Donna Oberlin.
