Lucille Bailey honored on her 90th birthday

Lucille Marie (Guy) Bailey of Edinburg celebrated her 90th birthday on Feb. 24. She was born in 1923 to Charles and Stella Guy of Lisbon, Ohio.

She married Harold Bailey on April 24, 1942, and they have lived in Portage County for 71 years.

Their children are Eileen Bailey of Florida, the late George (and Sue) Bailey of Edinburg, Richard (and Sharon) Bailey of Deerfield, Robert (and Sharon) Bailey of Deerfield, Daniel (and Becky) Bailey of Deerfield, Linda (and Chuck) Whitney of Paris Township, and Barbara (and Terry) Boles of Colorado.

Lucille has 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Lucille enjoys reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She was honored at a party given on her birthday by her children and her granddaughter, Cyndi. More than 100 guests attended, including her sister, Eileen Helman of Cleveland, and Lucille's nieces and nephew; her daughter, Barb of Colorado; and her granddaughter, Terri of Florida.

The birthday cakes were the characters Alf and Garfield, made by her granddaughter, Cyndi, as well as other cakes and desserts brought by other family members.
