The Deerfield Historical Society's first Monday dance will take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 S.R. 14.
Refreshments will be available for purchase. All types of live music for listening and dancing enjoyment will be provided. Admission is $3 per person. The Easter basket raffle drawing will be held at the end of this dance.
The society will sponsor a first-person interpretation by Bob O'Connor, a noted Civil War author, as Ward Hill Lamon, bodyguard to President Abraham Lincoln, on April 14. Reservations are required. This will take place at the Deerfield Town Hall, with doors opening at 2:30 p.m., the presentation at 3:30 p.m., and a soup and salad meal at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.
