'Cash for Critters' nets $262 for Dog Pound at St. Patrick School in Kent

The fifth-grade students at St. Patrick Catholic School in Kent held their third annual "Cash for Critters" to benefit the Portage County Dog Pound. This year, they collected a total of $262, along with dog food, cat food and bags of treats for the animals. The students presented the money and items they collected to Portage County Dog Warden David McIntyre, in back, during their March spirit rally. To date, the school has collected a total of $853 for the animals at the Portage County Dog Pound in Shalersville.
