Wayne Enders will portray Hayes, 19th U.S. president

Wayne Enders of Ravenna will be the featured presenter when the Portage County Genealogy Society meets at 10 a.m. Saturday at the museum, 6549 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

Refreshments will be served.

Enders will appear as Rutherford B. Hayes of Fremont, who served as the 19th U.S. president, from 1877 to 1881.

Enders will utilize a number of period clothing props to give the audience a brief glimpse of Hayes' life, with a focus on his American Civil War service as a colonel in the 23rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
