Library gives away trees for Arbor Day

Published:

The Kent Free Library, 312 W. Main St., will be giving away free Northern Red Oak saplings from noon to 2 p.m. April 27 in the library's meeting room. Those interested in celebrating Arbor Day and helping keep Kent "The Tree City" by planting a tree this year, should call the library to reserve a tree; one per patron.

At 1 p.m., Debbie Miller, the Davey Tree Expert Co. Plant Pathologist and Kent Shade Tree Committee member, will provide a demonstration on how to plant and care for the tree.

For more information and to reserve a tree, call the Information Desk at 330-673-4414.
