Thomas and Sandra White of Brady Lake recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party thrown by their children, hosted by brother David and Jeany White of Kent.

Thomas White and Sandra Carden were married Aug. 18, 1963.

Their children are Thomas (and Laura) White Jr. of Kent, Grace (and Keith) Angel of Randolph, Mark (and Kristine) White of Portland, Ore., Donny White of Kent, Sara (and Rick) Legg of Brady Lake, and Beth (and Ryan) Rollyson of Randolph. They have 13 grandchildren.

Thomas White is a 1963 graduate of Stow High School and a graduate of Akron Bible Institute (Moody Bible). He worked at Ametek (formerly known as Lamb Electric); and Hiawatha (GRBC) Baptist Missionary in Noranda, Quebec, and Manitouwadge, Canada.

He served as assistant pastor, youth pastor and young married couple's pastor at Brown Street Church in Akron; as pastor of Brady Lake Baptist Church; and pastor of the "Life After Death" radio show on WTOF.

He is the current pastor of in-home Bible studies for 40 years and serves as guest pastor at numerous local churches.

Sandra White graduated in 1963 from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent. She was previously employed at Step 2 in Streetsboro and at the Hattie Larlham Foundation in Mantua.

"Thomas and Sandra have spent 50 happy years together. They have never felt that there were bumps in the road and never recall any 'rough patches' as many couples state," said daughter Beth.

"They have spent the past 50 years trusting God and have enjoyed allowing God to run their small but happy life. Thomas has had many medical issues as of late including dialysis and congestive heart failure. However, he still praises God through it all. They are such an inspiration to their children and anyone who knows them," she said.
