The 23rd annual Henry Biltz Family Reunion recently was held at the home of Frank and Ruth Biltz of Atwater. Fifty-six relatives attended the potluck gathering. Jon Norman gave the prayer before the meal. Dan Castellucci, Kyle Biltz and Jim Castellucci cooked the corn on the cob over an open fire.
Stacy Biltz took a group photo using her digital camera with a timer on it so she was able to be in the photo. She had poster collages of last year's reunion photos for everyone to enjoy.
Family members shared activities of the past year. Cassie Castellucci and Michael Gearhard got engaged in April. Jean and Jim Castellucci recently returned from a trip to Alaska. Mary Ann Norman enjoyed a trip to the Carolinas and hiking the Appalachian Trail. Russell and Carol Biltz were celebrating their 28th wedding anniversary at the reunion. Frank and Ruth Biltz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 18. Becky and Ricky Biltz have retired.
Lottery tickets were distributed to the adults in attendance. Everyone was issued a ticket for a drawing. Frank Biltz read off the numbers of the lucky winners.
The younger members of the family searched for coins in the wood shavings and played on the trampoline. Others enjoy a corn hole game.
