The Portage County-Randolph Fair Junior Fair Board recently visited KentRidge at Golden Pond Senior Assisted Living Residence in Kent to help celebrate the "Dog Days of Summer."
Members brought their 4-H projects and pets to visit with the residents.
These canine projects are therapy trained to be able to visit various nursing home facilities and hospitals.
Two of these animals are Pet Pal certified, which is a special accomplishment only 4-H dogs can achieve.
The Canine King and Queen, Travis Adkins and Megan MacIntyre, were in attendance and their dogs demonstrated agility.
The Junior Fair Board invites everyone to attend the fair, today through Sunday, to see all the animal projects in person.
