The Ravenna Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with American Kids Unlimited, which utilizes a curriculum that follows a standard format including warm-up, body position, stretching, and skill challenges.
Classes will focus on basic gymnastics skill to include balance, coordination, flips, and stretching. The second session starts Jan. 7. Classes will be held on Tuesdays. Ages 3 to 4 will meet from 5 to 5:30 p.m., ages 5 to 6 from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and ages 7 to 10 from 6: to 6:30 p.m.
Classes will be held at Tower Lodge at John Tontimonia City Park in Ravenna. A new class begins each month. Participants who take multiple sessions will be eligible to perform at the annual recital in April.
