Couples who both are alumni of Rootstown Schools and have been married for 20 years and more will be honored at the annual Breakfast Program, sponsored by the Rootstown Historical Society.
The program will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 25 at the First Congregational Church of Rootstown, United Church of Christ hall.
The society is seeking names of couples who both graduated from, or attended Rootstown Schools, married, and now live in Rootstown.
They will be, if qualified, honored at a continental breakfast, hosted by the society.
Each couple will receive a certificate, an early Valentine present, and be entered in a drawing for Rootstown area items as door prizes.
There will be a special prize for the graduating class with the most married couples present.
The breakfast is also open to society members, all Rootstown school alumni, and general public who are interested in honoring these couples.
Reservations for this event must be received by the Rootstown Historical Society Event Committee by Jan. 15 by mail to P.O. Box 83, Rootstown, OH 44272, email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Shirley Riemenschneider at 330-325-1962.
